Dauphin County company with 150 employees merges with Kansas-based engineering firm - PennLive

A longtime midstate engineering firm has merged with a firm with offices across the country.

Skelly and Loy, which has been in business for 51 years, has merged with Terracon Consultants, a Kansas company that provides environmental consulting, geotechnical engineering, materials testing, and building enclosure services.

Skelly and Loy has an office in Swatara Township as well as offices in the State College and Pittsburgh areas, Maryland and West Virginia. Terracon has more than 150 offices and 5,000 employees across the United States.

Skelly and Loy provides environmental consulting and engineering services, and the company’s 150 employees will become part of Terracon and will now be known as Skelly and Loy, A Terracon Company. The merger took place on Jan. 31.

Skelly and Loy’s services include mining, civil, and environmental engineering; natural resource management; wastewater permitting; noise and air quality investigations; hazardous waste management investigations and remedial design, and other services.
