LANSING TWP. - Lansing marijuana company Green Peak Innovations will interview candidates for up to 50 open jobs during a career fair Thursday.
The company operates two grow facilities in the Lansing area, one on Jolly Road and another at its headquarters in Dimondale, where there are plans for expansion.
The company plans to expand its food facility, and will hire between 40 to 50 people in the next 60 days, according to a news release. The jobs will be based in Dimondale, said Colleen Robar, a spokeswoman for Green Peak.
Green Peak Innovations is "looking for individuals to join our cannabis-infused, cultivation, and compliance teams," said the release.
Starting pay will be between $15 and $20 and hour and come with a 401k program and health benefits, according to the release.
People who wish to apply should have food manufacturing experience, and must bring resumes with them to Thursday's job fair.
It will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Hyatt Place Lansing, located at the Eastwood Town Center, at 2401 Showtime Dr. in Lansing.
Through its retail arm, Skymint, Green Peak operates three medical marijuana retail facilities in Michigan. The company intends to triple the size of its retail operation by the end of 2020. Tentative locations include Lansing, East Lansing and Ann Arbor.
According to the release, Green Peak holds 12 class C cultivation licenses and one processor license. It has received pre-qualification for 30 provisioning center licenses in Michigan, and has applied for recreational licenses, it said.
